Steve:
I work for a design and print company and have started to produce DVD's with promo material on and we can't cope with the demand. We were going to outsource for 500 copies worth but my Boss would like us to purchace some kind of dvd duplicator.
can you help?!
Tony:
Hi Steve
Steve:
Hello
Tony:
1 mo
Steve:
ok. Just to mention that we would also like to print the labels onto the dvd's
Tony:
OK you can do this volume in house with ease
Tony:
ok you want to print direct to the discs
Tony:
best option is a tower copier and then a robotic printer
Steve:
what are the other options?
Steve:
ah sounds good
Tony:

Tony:
for a regular 500 discs you need to spend £1700 to £1800 plus vat
Tony:
if it is 500 per month then
Tony:
£1250
Tony:
you will need human for the tower
Tony:
but the printing will be nicely robotic
Steve:
ok so I think robotic would be best for us
Tony:
robot printing or publishing
Tony:
if you want robot to do both then your output will be MUCH slower
Tony:
and lower
Steve:
That might not be a huge issue, Time is probably one thing we DO have because the printing is for our parent company so timescales are less of an issue
Tony:
ok - but you get MUCH more for your money and much faster with tower

Steve:
ok,excuse my stupidity for a second!... so will I upload my files(for the design) and it will print the design onto the disk with the tower?!
Tony:
tower for copies
Tony:
printer for printing
Steve:
ok, is that thermal printing?
Steve:
or inkjet? which is better>?
Tony:
inkjet
Tony:
thermal for £5000
Steve:
ok, could you give me the best deals for something at around 4k?
Tony:
gary - you wld be wise to teview the website
Steve:
ok

Steve:
yes I think the robot would be best
Steve:
are there any brands that are less reliable that I should be aware of? or are there any you reccommend?
Tony:
we only sell the best solutions
Tony:
spending 4K on mfdgitial gets you a 600 disc capacity unit, with built in PC, inkjet printer, that can be warrantied for 3 years
Steve:
